The Tao Cannot Be Described

The Tao that can be described is not the eternal Tao.

Language cannot describe that which is formless and eternal. It can only point to it as the essence of all that is manifest. To name the limitless is to impose boundaries upon that which can have none. In essence, we are also limitless, for we, too, are manifestations of the eternal Tao.

The opening line from Tao Te Ching and the art of Johann Jokob Frey come together as an elegant reminder of the eternal, ineffable force and flow of life, of which we are all a part.
